McKay and Mitchell Accepted into NCAA Leadership Academic Workshop

INDIANAPOLIS – A pair of Washington State University athletics employees from the Department of Student-Athlete Development and Wellbeing have been accepted into the NCAA Leadership Academy Workshop (LAW). Shelby McKay, Assistant Director of Athletics for Student-Athlete Development and Wellbeing, and Derrick Mitchell, Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development and Wellbeing, have both been accepted into the eight-month leadership program, which starts on Oct. 19.

LAW empowers athletics administrators with the knowledge and plan to build a sustainable leadership development program. The NCAA Leadership Academic Workshop utilizes best practices, and lessons learned, so participants can tailor their leadership development program to their unique campus needs.
