The Washington State Cougars ended their season last week with a loss in the Pac-12 tournament to Arizona State, which means, sadly, that it’s time to take a look back at the exciting — and sometimes frustrating — 2020-21 season.
Luckily, we have one of our favorite guests, WSU assistant coach John Andrzejek, here to guide us through the postmortem.
Topics covered include:
- The challenges of managing a roster and rotation that constantly was missing guys;
- What was behind all those close losses?
- How the defense took a big step forward, including why the team used more zone than expected;
- Thoughts on how the offense could make the same kind of leap next season;
- Player breakdowns, both looking back and forward.
